Overview

Suicide is the second leading cause of death in many counties in Oklahoma, and the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Use Services is aiming to spread awareness for various treatment and prevention programs available to our citizens. For this particular initiative, Ghost was tasked with preparing an integrated campaign for “Oklahoma, Now is the Time” (ONIT) to appeal primarily to youths in transition to adulthood (ages 16-25). Our challenge was to create action and clear next steps, while working to remove stigma and communicate accessibility.

How We Helped

Ghost led with effective messaging and strategy and let design serve a supporting role. We created a logo, brand story and campaign that engaged with youths in transition rather than preaching at them or speaking about them. It was personal, meaningful and communicated important information about free mental health services available right where they live.
